Questions
The things merchants ask first.
Do my customers need to install an app?
No. If they already have Printless the print lands in the app. If they do not, it goes to them over WhatsApp, or as a link you can share any way you like. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
What hardware do I have to buy?
None. Printless runs on the phone you already own, and on the web at printer.printless.app if you would rather work from a computer. There is no terminal, no printer, no roll and nothing to mount on the counter.
What can I issue?
Receipts, invoices, queue tokens, parking tickets, event tickets, invitations, bookings, work orders, notes and passes — membership cards, ID cards, gate and access passes. You can also upload an existing PDF and send that as a print.
What if a customer still wants paper?
Every print can be shared or saved as a PDF, so you can print one on any ordinary printer if somebody insists. Most do not — but the option does not disappear.
Can a digital receipt replace a printed one for tax?
Every print carries a unique Print ID, the issuing business, a timestamp and a QR code, so it can be produced and verified later. Whether that satisfies your local tax or invoicing rules depends on your country, so check with your accountant before you switch off the printer entirely.
How do live queue tokens work?
You issue a token from your phone and call the next number when you are ready. The customer sees their position, who is being served and the estimated wait update on their own phone — so nobody has to stand at the counter watching a display.
Can customers add tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?
Yes, for passes, tickets and invitations. The customer taps Add to Wallet and the pass sits alongside their boarding passes and loyalty cards, with the Print ID carried in a hidden field so a scanner can verify it.
Will it work with my existing POS or booking system?
Yes. There is a REST API with SDKs and webhooks, so your current system can issue a print at the moment it would have sent one to the printer. There is also a one-line Go Printless button for websites. Full documentation is at docs.printless.app.
What does it cost?
The Free plan covers 100 prints a month, forever, with no card required. Paid plans start at $3 a month, and Business is unlimited. If a plan lapses you can move back to Free rather than losing access.
Can more than one person issue prints?
Yes. Multiple terminals and staff accounts are available on the Business plan, and every vendor only ever sees their own prints.
